Job Description

ROLE: Release Management Analyst

Location: Atlantic City, NJ

Contract Role

GCs & USC only




  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL, Oracle, or other relation databases.
  • Ability to read and write complex SQL statements.
  • Understanding of API’s and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) functions.
  • Familiarity with automation, scripting and common flat file data formats.
  • Ensure all change packages deemed suitable for deployment include installation plans/instructions, service desk training/documentation, back-out procedures, schedules and other information necessary to ensure a high probability of first-pass success for deployments.
  • Schedule the changes to the Enterprise and coordinating the changes with customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage Pilot or key-site test phase of deployment.
  • Assist with its conducting of Final Readiness Review and final product readiness testing.
  • Deployment of releases to production environment, deployment verification – successful/not successful; compliancy, reporting, and metrics.
  • Maintain Release Calendar, developing towards “Forward Schedule of Change”.
  • Assist with release management policy and procedures.
  • Provide IT Services release management team outreach, communication, training and execution of release management processes.
  • Maintain physical control over the definitive copies of software and hardware components as defined by release and configuration management policy.

Skills Required:

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work team toward task completion.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with release management in a large enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of management and deployment tools such as Marimba, Altiris, SCCM, Tanium and Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Domain services including Group Policy Management preferred.
  • Basic Windows system administration experience and network fundamentals.
  • Experience using a Helpdesk system – BMC Remedy is a plus.


  • High School diploma/GED and ten (10) years of release and/or program management experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Math or Science and a minimum of two (2) years of release and/or program management experience.
